Well, there were only two of them now, but they weren’t conscious. Because today, we have games like Claire’s Cruisin’ Café and Bloom!… and then there’s also games from developers that have worked with GameHouse to create an Original Stores title. When we got back to the spot where I killed the manticore, there was already a ferocious beast in the process of eating the six demons. And truth be told: the current developers and game studios have a lot more to offer, so it isn’t entirely fair anymore to keep saying ‘no’ to non-GHOS games because you still compare them to releases from 2008-ish.

There’s all those Dash games and there’s titles like Wendy’s Wellness and Posh Boutique and Cake Mania and Chocolatier and all of it and when you look at the release dates, they’re often from over a decade ago. But, we’ve got to be honest here: many non-GHOS games are, by now, quite old. My reasons were simple: though I have played and liked some non-GHOS time management games before ( Wedding Salon, for example), I often just don’t like the gameplay or storyline enough because it so clearly doesn’t match the standards that GameHouse got me used to. There was a time when I kind of vowed to myself that I would not play any time management games that weren’t created by the GameHouse Original Stories brand. But before we could dive into this highly anticipated second chapter for Maggie and company, there of course had to be a replay for the first game, that I absolutely loved loved loved loved when I first played it. And soon enough, the first was also re-added to the Original Stories catalog, right in time for the sequel to also be included. Fortunately me as well as other fasn don’t plan to stop considering these three heroines a part of the Snuggford universe… and in the case of Maggie, that turned out great! Because two years the release of this first game by WorldLoom in 2017, gaming platform iWin reached out to the studio to create a sequel after all… since the fire had definitely not gone out. I know, harsh, right? To have the brand that publishes your game basically say in a very passive aggressive manner that your product doesn’t live up to their quality standards anymore and is therefore to be erased from Original Stories existence. Maggie was originally part of what we are going to call the ominious unholy trinity: she, along with Cathy ( Cathy’s Crafts) and Mary ( Mary le Chef) was a fan favorite, but not a developer darling and thus her game got cancelled – and not only that, but it was also pulled from the Original Stories catalog. I think I just might or might not have jumped and danced a little when news broke a couple years ago that Maggie’s Movies: Camera, Action! would be getting a sequel. if you've got the time, they've got the stories - and I've got the scoop. Here, you'll find all about my experiences with the games.

I am a writer, and when something pulls at my heartstrings like these games do, I have to write it all out. Ever since I was a tween, I've been loving the Original Stories games, from the very first Delicious game up until Barbarous: Tavern of Emyr. My name is Vivian, I'm 26 years old and live in the Netherlands. Stories that touch our hearts and minds and lives in ways close to magic, beyond worlds and words, that will enchant us and are an escape from real life, but also a beacon of hope for our own inspiration.

Stories about young women just like us, with dreams and passions and fears and struggles, women who try to achieve those dreams and who grow to be their best selves so they can create and write their own story and their own life. Stories to fall in love with, to get caught up in, that make your heart skip a beat or that break or warm it. Stories that inspire, console and entertain. Because GameHouse does not produce games: they create stories. For almost thirteen years now, GameHouse has been the company behind countles time management games - or better said, stories.
